CONFERENCE "0% OF TOLERANCE FOR VIOLENCE IN SCHOOLS" - MOSTAR


Ministry of education, science, culture and sport of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton with support of TPO Foundation from Sarajevo, Youth Power from Mostar, Association Center for development of youth activism CROA from Sarajevo, Center for psychological support "Sensus" from Mostar, Center for Human rights in Mostar, Association Altruist from Mostar, Association Genesis Project from Banja Luka, Center for social research "Global Analitica" from Sarajevo, and Pedagogical institute and Institute for schooling of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton organized conference on program of preventing violence and juvenile delinquency named "0% of tolerance for violence in schools". A conference was held on May, 25, 2017 at the Center for culture Mostar. In addition to many partners, teachers, pedagogues and students Ph.d. Rašid Hadžović, minister of education, science, culture and sport of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton also participated. In cooperation with ten partner organizations from Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, Sarajevo Canton and Republic of Srpska, Ministry of education, science, culture and sport of Hrzegovina-Neretva Canton held conference named "0% of tolerance for violence in schools", on May, 25, 2017.

On that occasion, the TPO Foundation from Sarajevo presented many various educational program activities held in this Canton in 2016/2017 school year. This is part of activities from three year project "Prevention and Reduction of Peer and Gender based Violence at School" which means implementation of various programs in areas of teaching about ethical values, peace education, and pedagogical prevention programs in area of peer and gender based violence in school and community. The goal is to start open dialogue and partnership with formal government institutions across the country in order to implement strategies of solving and preventing this kind of problem in society systematically and with more efficiency. In that sense, mentioned project is being realized with the support of Ministry of education of Sarajevo Canton, Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and Central-Bosnia Canton. During the conference, Monja Šuta-Hilbert, representative of TPO Foundation, expressed gratitude to all of the teachers in ten partner schools from Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and also expressed hope that last school year has been just successful beginning of long term cooperation and partnership.
